As a seasoned web professional with a unique skill set, I believe I am an outstanding candidate for many positions — from web and user interface design, to art direction and creative management. I currently hold the position of Online Creative Director at Roost, Inc.— a consumer oriented real estate search site. I am responsible for driving the image, brand design and usability for all Roost online efforts.

Prior to Roost, I worked with the User Experience Group at World Savings, a Fortune 500 company rated one of "America's Most Admired" Financial Services Companies by Fortune Magazine. In my role as a Level 3 Web Designer, I participated in the design, development and execution of all web-based corporate initiatives. I collaborated with multiple designers, Information Architects, Content Writers, UI Experts, Developers, Project Managers, and various Business Development units to ensure all requirements were addressed with deliverables met in a timely manor.

My professional career began ten years ago at Pegasystems.

While at Pegasystems, Inc., a leading provider of rules-based, smart business process management software, I approached the Director of Marketing with a comprehensive analysis of the existing web site, along with a proposal for its complete redesign. My proposal was approved, and I was subsequently promoted to Lead Web Designer.

I later initiated a total overhaul of Pegasystems' corporate identity program. After compiling a report on identity awareness and brand recognition, I was invited by the Senior Vice President of Marketing to present my findings at an off-site Pegasystems' Round Table meeting, which included the Board of Directors and the entire Senior Management Team. This initiative resulted directly in a redesign of the existing identity, and prompted my promotion to Art Director, where I was responsible for managing a creative team, including a multimedia designer, graphic designer, web developer and temporary employees.

As Art Director, in addition to overseeing the design and development of all creative at Corporate Headquarters, I was solely responsible for the conception and implementation of a comprehensive style guide throughout the company. With over 700 employees worldwide, my skill at interfacing effectively with various groups and individuals on all levels played a crucial role in realizing this corporate initiative.

The ability to identify, articulate and execute corporate initiatives has been consistent throughout my professional career. Evidence of this can be seen in my present role as Online Creative Director with Roost, and can be traced back through my career with World Savings, Affiniscape, Point Click Direct, CISI and Pegasystems. In all of these positions, it has been my responsibility to ensure that all web sites, user interfaces, and online marketing campaigns are developed with the highest level of usability in mind, while reinforcing corporate identity. In order to attract and retain customers, emphasis on usability and user-centered design has played a pivotal role in determining site structure, affecting everything from navigation architecture to overall look and feel. Creative & Strategic Development

Responsible for developing and implementing the overall creative strategy for PointClick Direct, CISI Direct and associated programs.
  • Established complete corporate identity programs including logo, corporate colors, web site, business cards, letterhead, envelopes and all marketing and collateral materials such as sales presentations, brochures and multilevel advertising campaigns.
  • Outlined application specifications for SITE BUILDER, a web-based site building application that enabled us to dynamically generate highly customized, co-branded Everyday Savings Club web sites. Developed screenshots of an application prototype in Photoshop that illustrated the necessary components of the user interface, and created a presentation that articulated the scope of the project.
  • Designed creative and developed content for multilevel advertising campaigns, including pop-ups, pop-unders, web banners, up-sell pages, emails and magazine ads. Developed a rules table along with a comprehensive ID-based naming convention, drawing from 12 unique variables that tracked creative campaigns for multiple accounts.
  • Hand-coded all web sites using HTML/XHTML and CSS, tested for browser-compatibility and optimized all code and graphics to minimize download time.

Systems & Operations Management

Managed the development cycles and day-to-day operations of multiple programs and initiatives. Assessed the functionality of various components, identifying and implementing the changes needed to optimize performance.
  • Responsible for the integration and operation of multiple technologies and service providers associated with the Everyday Savings Club program, including development firms in Maryland, Georgia and California, call centers in the Philippines, and a fulfillment house in Florida.
  • Developed a comprehensive rules table for use in the fulfillment house that defined all aspects of over 150 co-branded Everyday Savings Club sites, including site id, card type, card id, envelope id, letterhead id, welcome letter id, BRE id, shipping id, billing instructions, merchant account id, renewal period, etc. This rules table was integrated with our bulk-ordering and admin systems and channeled membership records by site ID through the fulfillment system, identifying all of the necessary component pieces for a given site´s fulfillment package.
  • Created application specifications for Customer Service Portal, an admin site with multiple levels of access that allowed our customer service representatives to update member information, request cards, and delete records from the database.
  • Put together a creative library of all ad campaigns broken down by creative ID, that co-branding clients could select for use when marketing their ESC sites.
  • Assessed and selected Web Hosting providers and set up all new hosting accounts including web sites, email administration, and FTP accounts.

Maintained existing corporate site while developing new design directions. Created prototypes in Photoshop and developed into functioning html demo sites for potential partners and clients.
